ProsVegan pizza by the slice Fast serviceFresh ingredients 3.25-4.25 per slice depending on which one you getThey have recycling Cool patio Cons Not the best pizza I’ve hadMy crust tasted overcooked
Great and innovative pizzas. Tried the Tri Tip pizza and was pleasantly surprised. Beers are way overpriced. $30 for a pitcher. It's worth it to grab beers during happy hour.
We got 2 large pizzas with smoked mozzarella, pepperoni and bacon -- so good and so satisfying!
Best happy hour special in the area for a pizza and a pitcher of beer
Great pizza, great prices, good wine! This will definitely be my first stop next time I'm in CA.
Great pizza, crust can do better
Good pizza and bear. Nothing fancy but solid
Very good pizza, a lot vegan options. A bit expensive
I have eaten well in my lifetime as many with means and a love for food have....I can honestly say this was one of the top three pizzas i had in my life. People should come support this place. The owner was absolutely lovely to interact with and provided more genuine quality service then i typically get when fine dining. The pizza had a crisp bottom with a softer aspect on the top. The sauce was very flavorful if you like garlic and i do and the vegetable were fresh crisp and chunky. Normally i do not even like sausage on my pizza because it is questionable what you are eating...not here, ground in house and the other meats were excellent as well. Sometimes its nailing something simple that we are all used to and love that can bring the greatest pleasure and that is how i would describe my dinner tonight. You are lucky you get to read this too because normally i would never take my valuable time to review something. Dr. Clifton Hodges
The pizza is good but the service is sometimes a bit slow. The selections of pizzas is a bit more exotic than most places, with many white pizzas available. They also have the run of the mill options as well. The guru special was especially good.
Best pizza place in SB by far. The restaurant is small but a lot more people use togo their pizza. Try white house pizza and the pizza with honey and walnut. You will love them.Large size pizza is about 25, which can be a little pricy. But they are really awesome good!
Decent place, not a great place, but good for hanging out with friends... Pizzas are good but little too chewy when gets cold, house made dough is not that great. Toppings are on a but expensive side, as well the customized pizzas.
The Buffalo chicken pizza is the best. Fresh ingredients and dough. Just don't call it a Buffalo chicken pizza, the staff will firmly correct you that it's the "buff chick" pizza. LoL
I ordered delivery from here with Uber Eats thinking it would be decently good small chain pizza....it was so much more than that. You can taste the fresh ingredients they use right away! This place is a nice departure from the plethora of average pizza places in the area. Keep it up Pizza Guru!
Great vegan pizza that actually tastes good. Definitely a great guilt- free pizza joint
Family and pet-friendly, dedicated parking, wheelchair accessible, great food with real ingredients. Lots to choose from on the menu, or make your own. Yes, they have gluten free crust and delicious salads.
The pizza is always delicious, the Crest is always crunchy, and the people are very nice. Their salads are wonderful! Very fresh and very generous portions.
Good, interesting pizzas, and beer, too. Friendly staff.
Great tasting pizza right off the skillet!
Yummy pizza! Friendly service.
Absolutely Love this place!! Local, organic with vegan options and an awesome staff. Everything is fresh and delicious. Highly recommended
HOLY MOLY BEST PIZZA EVER came all the way from riverside
Pizza Guru offers fresh, organic, and vegan options. Their salads and pizzas are delicious, and anything can be made vegetarian or vegan (sauce, cheese, toppings). Their kids menu (Little Gurus) is the best deal in town (meal, beverage, and ice cream). Very casual. Friendly staff.
Great pizza (we get Vegan) but the service is simply awful. Our order is wrong more times than it is right. They have a lot of options for non-dairy, vegan, gluten free, etc. so it's nice for those with preferences or allergies. The scary part is they make enough mistakes don't trust that your vegan pizza won't have dairy cheese on it.. or chicken..
The most interesting pizza combinations I've ever seen at a restaurant. I love that it is all local and organic.
This place is AMAZING! It's really healthy yet there's so many different options. They had a BUNCH of cool side items which I thought was cool. I got grilled salmon with cauliflower mash and sautéed kale. DELICIOUS! And I ate my food with a view of the Hollywood hills it didn't even look real. The people working there were so friendly too! Great place for lunch in the area.
This is all that is left of our lunch here... Amazing pizza, one to die for!!! Must visit if you come to Santa Barbara!!!
Been coming here for the last 3 years. They have gluten free, vegan pizza options and all the stuff is local. Must try pizza and salads.
Tasty pizza and pleasant staff
Good gluten free pizza and fantastic service
The pizza was great! I ordered a large pizza with half "1 with Everything In It" and half "Mowie Wowie" it was not half and only about 4 slices were the everything. Service was good but there was a sense of closing time (at 8ish) and considering that they close at 9 I was surprised. The salad was ok considering the price and they charged for a second cup of salad dressing for a "large" sized salad (but didnt say that) when I asked if we could get two dressings. I will go back again because the pizza was great! If for the quality if the pizza alone it would be 5 stars.
Delicious food and an upbeat atmosphere. Will be back on our next visit to UCSB.
Have been to Pizza Guru a handful of times since the current owner took over. I only had dined there once before that so I can't comment on how it used to be. I really like the food they offer now. I have had a couple of different salads and types of Pizza. The Specialty Pizzas they offer are all very delicous but if traditional pizza is your jam you can call out any toppings you want. Beverages for the kids are great and a nice Selection of Local beers which is always a plus for me. Guru is my favorite Lunch Spot when I'm working in that area of SB. Highly reccomend it.
I had finominal service from Joanne. Also manager is wonderful. They made me feel right at home. It was clean. My pizza was great as always & Greek salad WONDERFUL. It was also just heaping full. It was so heavy that when I tried to hold it up to take a picture I barely could hold it. Awesome experience!**update**I have to say pizza Guru is one of my very favorite restaurants! Had another great experience today. So you can see the salad is consistently wonderful I'm putting another picture.
My hubby fav pizza place in SB, think crust, fresh, organic ingredients, tasty AF. And decent pricing on beers
Love everyrhing Here a lil price but no complaints w the food !!!👌😋
Awesome tandoori pizza. Best pizza place i have ever been. Baha and guru special are too good.
I highly recommend this pizza place. They used fresh veggies. Amazing staff very friendly people.
I would’ve given 5 stars 6 years ago, but things have changed since I was last here. I’m glad they still have the Warm Goat Cheese Salad, but the cheese was so small this time, it was gone in a second. I see they still use locally grown, good qualities veggies and healthy ingredients. They still have interesting Indian-inspired names for their pizzas and salads and have an interesting variety of toppings; the fig and bacon is a must try and the Whitehouse is still a favorite. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed no matter what you get.
Great place recommended by my motel
Got a slice of the BBQ chicken and it was like a slice of heaven on this cold night. Was a bit worried the slice would be small since its a gourmet pizza, but I was pleasantly surprised at how big it was...perfect! Thank you Guru😎👍
Nice place and friendly work crew. I ate outside with my dog and the traffic on State street wasn't too bad, except for the crows flying about and screeching it was pleasent. The White Pizza was awesome and washed it down with a Topa Topa. Loved it.
Great local organic food, definitely a must stop when visiting Santa Barbara, especially if you're gluten free
Excellent pies. Quality ingredients, masterly combined for a flavorful euphoric experience. Love this place!
One of the best pizza places I've been! The food was amazing. I was delighted with how good the pizza tasted. The staff was really friendly, helpful, and patient. I love the overall feeling of the place; it's welcoming.
Really good lunch special. Giant slice, salad and drink for 7 bucks. All great quality stuff.
Pros: They use really fresh and locally sourced ingredients, and have really delicious and creative topping combinations. Great salads and yummy breadsticks.Cons: Their largest pizza is not terribly large, and if you get the gluten-free option, the crust is terribly thin. 30$ for a thin, large (but kinda small) pizza is a bit too much. Because of that, we only go there infrequently, but if they were a little more affordable, we would go there all the time.
Pretty good pizza. I liked it. Fresh ingredients. I wished my personal pizza was a little bigger size, but overall am happy with what I got and would come here again.
so many options. such good flavor. everything's fresh
Took almost an HOUR for a Lg and Med pizzas to GO!BOTH orders messed up, got BOUNCED to GrubHub or some other 2nd hand delivery. 1 person in line before me. Waited an hour and GrubHub strolled in over and over while my order got pushed back. Then TOTALLY wrong. I was not happy, the Dingos were NOT happy. Never goin back. NEVER wish 2nd hand deliveries on this place either. LAME!
